Question Heated Mirrors

I'm embarrassed to ask, but here it is. On my 04.5 I had heated mirrors that were turn on by a switch on the dash.. I just got a brand new 2018 3500 with heated mirrors.. but I cannot find the switch for them. Are they automatic like almost everything else on this new truck? or am I just missing the obvious?

They will come on automatically when you have the heater set to defrost. Thats one thing I don't like about newer trucks, alot of things are automatic. I like switches lol.

I truly, truly hate the fact that manufacturer's make cars with daytime running lamps or head lights on, along with the instrument cluster that is always lit up. If they were going to do that, then fine.....but at least tie the tail lights into the system. Do you know how many times in the past 5 years I have seen people driving down the road without tail lights on because they get in the car and have front/or head lights and can read the dash when they start the car? Literally I'm betting has to be close to 1,000 cars just in California alone. Sorry for the rant. Back to the mirrors I think they auto turn on at certain temps as well.
