Default Manual trans into a 93 2500

Throwing this out there for a friend....1993 2500 2WD extended cab w/a 1996 P-pump engine, my friend wants to convert to a manual and get away from the automatics has has tried. What fits and what is needed are a good starting point for him to consider. Really nice truck....I see the allure of the first gens

I never have figured out whether the floor transmission hump in the CTD's are all large hump to clear the manual or not. I've seen 50/50 on the web as to whether that's the case. I'm pretty sure the gas trucks are small hump automatic/large hump manual so you have to cut the floor to install a manual, along with all of the other stuff. I've read it's best to get a donor truck so you have everything you need. I was in the same position with a 93 D350 and decided to buy a manual D350 and sell one of the nicest first gens I've ever owned rather than convert it from auto to manual. It's in the classifieds right now.
