Default Engine swap

Can someone straighten me out about this? I read somewhere that the '03 engine drops right into one of these trucks. I guess that makes sense. I have a line on decently priced rebuilt motors, and pretty much every seal in my engine is gone. The engine itself is good though.

New front drive shaft at 240k km, Transfer case rebuild at 296k km, water pump #2 at 297k km and water pump #3 at 365k km. Gen 1 fuel sender and new lower control arms at 370k km.

I believe 03 was the 1st year of the common rail, so no, I wouldn't be a drop in. The fuel system is totally different as well as the electronics.
