A/C woes
The 07 just doesn't cool like it should.
New compressor, drier and orifice last summer, flushed, vacuumed, and charged. (after the compressor locked up) But it has never done well at idle. I realize it won't do as well at idle as driving because of rpm and air flow, but it should at least stay comfortable. It will stay moderately 'comfortable' while driving in the afternoons.
Bought a set of gauges and the high side is staying Too High, above 400 at idle, engine fan engaged. Low side is at 50.
I'm no AC expert, know just enough to be confused I guess, but seems like there must be a restriction somewhere??
Can't a shop with the right equipment evacuate, FLUSH, and recharge!!
Any of you pros have suggestions??

Pressure is wacked. 55 to 65 low side 215 to 250 high side. Depending on standard day condition. Plus or minus 5 psi both is acceptable based on altitude and temp.

I had to clean the orifice tube on my daughter's S10 a coupla weeks ago.....ok now.

Those were my suspicions.
I changed that tube twice last summer & pulled both ends of the line loose & flushed it once with brake cleaner & compressed air.
Guess it's time to try it again.
I just Hate opening up an AC system...
