Well it's official, Bob Glidden has passed away,
https://www.nhra.com/news/2017/hall-...en-passes-away
http://classracer.com/classforum/showthread.php?t=68510
He always made time for his fans, signing autographs and short talk..
Years after he quit racing, he was helping a new race team in a their new car and it wasn't fast enough to qualify at INDY in 2010.....regardless, when he came up the return road after a qualifying shot, he received a standing ovation from thousands of spectators, including my brother and I.
RIP Bob.

Met Bob Glidden at PIR years ago when I raced motorcycles in the ET brackets. Great guy, he'll be missed. RIP Bob

RIP Tom, I remember watching tom race at PIR. I talked with him once when I would race ET class with motorcycles. Really nice guy, he told me racing should be done with 4 wheels not two. Funny though, I seen him many times launching off the line on two wheels.
