Still Here on this Earth
Just wanted to let everyone I am still alive & kicking. Haven't been on the board for awhile. Going in for right hip replacement on Dec. 7th. Feeling bit rough recently but sure hope this surgery will change all that.

Good to hear from you again, when you get that hip surgery do everything the Dr. says as far as therapy. I know several people that have had hips and knees replaced. The ones that don't do what they are told for the most part still have pain, some worse. The ones that did what they were told say that feel like teenagers again as far as walking. Good luck, and don't stay away so long.

Hey again. You're still allowed even if you left the diesel side.
Good luck with your surgery.

Good to see you again Reg.
I see you from time to time here.
I hope your surgery goes well. I can offer no good advice, haven't been there yet.
So what's the plan? Stainless steel, titanium or maybe the ultra-rare un-obtitanium?

I already had my left hip done about 7 years ago and have had no issues. Your right, BRD I will follow Drs. orders to a T. Have been given a" before surgery exercise" program & will follow.
I am ready for a pain free life so I can enjoy my daily walks and riding my new ebike.
May not have the Cummins Ram anymore but the fuel is still in my blood lol. I think it is titanium. Last one was cemented in place, this one will be pressed in place. Last time I could not put any weight on it for 6 weeks, this one I will be walking home. Only in hospital 1 day. Have my daughters to look after me. I am a blessed guy.

Oh, a press fit. I wonder how much interference they are figuring in? I pressed valve seats in aluminum heads with 6 to 7 thousandths interference, very cold seats/warm heads. 3 to 4 thousandths on iron heads.
