Did a bunch of pocking around with an analog volt meter, a digital will dampen the pulses. Every where I checked was a buzzen. I pulled apart a bunch of connection, but they all looked clean and tight. Had a spare regulator so I threw that on there. Well, the gauge on truck kept vibrating but everywhere I checked with the analog meter was now rock solid except off the field ground terminal. That's the wire that goes back through the regulator. So maybe brushes might help.

If you want a fast response on pulses buy or borrow a Fluke 23 or similar. The digital display may not respond instantaneously but the screen has a bargraph at the bottom that is faster than the needle on an analog.

Finally got the rear main done, the transmission input shaft was also leaking so they took care of it as well. The shop gave me a power joke to drive as a loaner. What a joke! my stock 92 has more power. Overall I was not impressed by it. They did how ever love my truck. First time I ever had a mechanic say "thank you for letting me work on your truck".

Hey guys, sorry to butt in, but I need a little insight. I've gotta replace the gasket on the lifter gallery cover (?) (or side cover or pushrod cover or whatever it's REAL name is, lol) and I'm wondering if its necessary to pull the VE pump to do so? I know there is one bolt directly behind the pump that does not look easy to get to, I know I can get to 4 of the other ones, but I've read there's 6 bolts that hold the cover on. I wasn't able to locate the 6th one. Any tips, tricks, or advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

Okay folks, I've decided. I was thinking about new injector, but not enough information to make an intelligent decision. Instead I'm going the water/meth route. I have enough power for what I do, I just don't like crowding the EGT limits when I'm dragging stuff around.

Ar & Ar'd me alternator today. The little buccaneer jumper ship on me. Put on a new one. The bad one is getting replaced so now I'll have a spare.
