I feel your pain Coug, thats why im looking for a newer truck again. My dodge has become a part time job, always something to fix. Major wiring issues, it gets tiring and unreliable. I plow snow 100 miles from home, and I've been plowing with this truck for 17 years, its paid its dues, time for something a little more comfortable and more power and torque. Im sure we could unload our trucks on BRD.

Do the bolts or line fittings have shiny corners from recent activity?
Actually, its been giving me trouble for over a year now. As the engine gets heat soaked idle keeps getting slower and slower which is a common sign of the innerds wearing out. Other than the idle, it runs great. That's why I put it off so long. After it not wanting to start hot, I figure its time.

I can and will fix it, one of these days. Just too much working against me is all. Been gone, been sick, been cold and no where to work, that kinda thing. I figure it's cheaper in the long run to fix what I got a little at a time than spend a lot of money on a newer truck that is going to cost me more when it breaks.

When I used to turn up the fuel screw on my VE, I always had to reduce the idle screw.
Is it beyond that adjustment?

It idles normal when cold, after it heat soaks for even a little while it quits idling. I have to keep my foot on the throttle to keep it from dying.
I turned up the fuel screw a long time ago and had no problems.
