Tranny fluid is nice and red and at correct level.

Start looking for a head gasket leak. Common place is the front right corner under the thermostat housing.

Finally caught up with him last night. His wife has been having health issues and he has been reclusive. He did take the rest of my transmission apart after he started finding things wrong. Parts missing, incorrect parts, incorrectly installed parts, parts damaged, worn out parts that should have been repaired or replaced. He knows Chad, the guy that overhauled it and is going to have a few words with him. In the mean time I am going to have an expensive overhaul. He think he will have it done in the next week or 2.

Found the leak, its dripping down from the bell housing, so im guessing its a block frost plug, behind the flex plate. Poured in a can of block seal to get me thru the plowing season, it worked, no more leaks.

Be careful with block sealers, they can block your radiator.

Ya I know, but cant have any downtime during the season. Im not a big fan of quick fixes, but I don't have any choice right now, winter is hitting us pretty hard this year. It is a pretty new rad in it.

Well, the transmission is finally going back together. Apparently the shop that sold me the overhauled transmission in the first place sold me a V10 transmission and not a diesel. That caused a lot of parts confusion.
