These motors love to be worked and when you have a trans that transmits the power then the truck works as it should.

I'm in central NC and wanting to get a better pulling trans put in, any suggestions? and what to expect $ wise
2002 24v 4 wheel
2002 2500 ext Cab 4X4 short box auto
Drop in K&n Filter,4" exhaust

Opinions on trannies are like...uh.... well, you know, everybody's got at least one.
You can spend as much as you want, up to $10k or better. Depends what you'r ultimate goal is.
Suncoast is pretty good I'm told. Gonna run you around $5k for the minimum upgrade, up to double that if you want a MONSTER.
REVmax I've heard is pretty solid. "FirePunk"... There are others
I got a 68 rfe out of wisconsin, "ETE" for about $4k installed. Been pulling its guts out for 3 years now with no issues.
I'm certainly not the expert, just some things I've seen and heard.
