RamnJoe is the guy that discovered if you let the fuel tank get below 1/4, the return fuel makes up most of the fuel going back to the lift pump extremely hot and subject the VP44 to excessively hot fuel temperatures and failure. Upon his discovery, nearly scalding his hands while changing the fuel filter, folks started thinking about trying to keep the VP44s cooler.
