Good Morning DieselRam...

65 this morning and rain closing in. Could stay till tomorrow.
Might warm up 5 deg then cool off 10.

JFJ, as I understand it, the FedEx guys teacher told him it couldn't be done, so "he tackled the thing that couldn't be done and he showed them how he could do it!"....most of the time.

Thanks guys, I'll pass your congrats to Ralph.
Yes, the national solar race is more a contest of longevity.
All electric, no generator backup, batteries allowed, but daily legs up to 400 miles so you gotta harvest the power of the sun to keep it going.
The "Sundancer" is self sustaining on level ground with good sun at about 40mph with a top speed near 60, I believe.

They've won their division in the US several times and competed in the "World Solar Challenge" in Australia several times, placing in the top 5 there but never winning

42 this AM. Went out the house yesterday. Made it up the driveway by taking a few runs at it with the 01, hope the wife doesn't try it in the car. Spent the day taking measurements and taking notes. Then went out in the ward and cleaned up the trash left behind. There is a lot of wood scattered around to be picked up.
Got to call in tonight to see if I've been drafted for jury duty.

Hey Smoke, how about some copper bands on the body of the driver so when he sweats, he becomes a battery.....just a diode to keep the juice going the right direction- just draw Dieselram Clunk on the racecar with a marker when they start taking pictures in the winner's circle.

Good morning DR.....Good soggy morning. Rain and 50's for the day. And tomorrow, probably Thursday as well. The daughters tractor needs serviced, a voltage regulator, brake interlock switch and since the battery was dead during winter probably a battery as well. The "son-in-law" isn't real handy with tools so he is going to take it in for the list. Only thing it needed last year was the oil changed. smh......

I know the start interlocks are good to have but they sure can be a pain.
70's and some afternoon showers. No dumptruckin' again today, sloppy wet everywhere.
Supposed to show up in the morning so we must have some work.

Good morning DR, 50's and overcast for the day. Problem child at work just won't leave.....don't like heavily modified aircraft. Sure is fast though.
