2017 3500 Ram
Gents, I'm looking hard at a new 2017 3500 with max towing capability. I'm very interested in any comments from new truck owners or from the brain trust guys that have been around for awhile. I want DRW, 4x4 with 4 doors. Thanks in advance

The newer trucks today are more advanced than before. A lot of bells and whistles. And they require a lot more maintenance. Use good fuel change the fuel filters often and yes I said FILTERS two in fact. Change the oil often. Use quality DEF fluid. No knock off garbage or you'll be sorry.
Filters on these trucks are as follows.
1 Oil Filter
2 Fuel filter one engine one fuel filter water separator back by tank
1 Air Filter use the 4 " pleats.
1 CCV filter or Crank Case Ventilation changed every 60K
And finally from 2010 to present you have a Cabin Air filter which requires cutting open the box and buying the filter from Mopar along with a NOW removable door to service it.

I have an '12 and love it. I have the crew cab and 8'bed parking is touching sometimes in parking lots, but I really don't mind taking 2-4 spaces. I would suggest the manual transmission. Also if you make your deal on line I found they will do anything to get you to buy a truck thinking your not really going to buy. get the deal and copy it off. Good luck on your search. also never let the stealer know you like the truck, and telling them your looking at Ferds get's you a better deal too.

Behind the glove box. Its critical to replace them from time to time as when it gets plugged it will clog up the Evaporator.
The Cabin Filter door can be bought separate from Mopar.
K&N makes a dry washable filter too for them.
