Herb, an inexpensive one !! :-)
Seriously, 25-30 ft, I'm thinking class "C" but I'm flexible on that, '90 or newer unless very well kept, a diesel would really be nice, but don't know if it will fit in the price range, probably a small block, prefer a 350 v8. Hope to spend $5-$7k. Something for the road more than for the campground. We want to make a few circuits of the west and northwest, see some country, a few national parks, and drop in on a few family and friends. There's 4 of us, the kids are 7 and 12, and I just think it would be nice to have the potty in the corner, sodas and PB&J in the fridge, if you want to stay the night in a park, just find a spot to pull 'er over, and the kids could have room to move around and not be stuck in a seat for hours and hours cause I'll drive for 15 straight unless I need fuel. We could pull in a friends driveway, shower and do laundry, and sleep in our own beds and not crowd anybody, stay overnight or so, and ease on down the road.
But the closest I've ever come to RV'ing is moving FEMA trailers, so what do I know...
There's a 92 Allegro, class "A", 32ft with a 5.9 & auto in Nashville, on ebay, currently under $4k. He didn't post many pics of the inside...
My preference would be the 95 Scotty class"C" 31ft on a Ram 3500 chassis with upgraded valvebody and TC in Baton Rouge. Starting bid is $10k, but no opener yet. It needs a few minor paint and body repairs. Doubt he'll come down to $7k, I coulde go $7.5 but that's about it.

Morning! Cold 52* here. Starting to cloud up for the upcoming rains.
Hey smokediver, I am sure you know what you are doing in searching for an RV but here is a link that might be of help anyway. Good Luck in your search.

Thanks TW.
I was a used car salesman in another life, so I'm good with the watching driveways, and haggling and waiting on the price, but very useful info about checking everything, and taking a friend along.
Thanks again.

I meant to mention that it was for the "What to check for" info, they have so much more than a car or truck to check for. Glad to help though. I only knew about that site because another guy I know wants me to check to find out the value of his RV.
