Default Brake upgrade!!!!

Dudes...and Ramnyou,

I am in need of new brakes up front (95 2500). My wheels are 17 inchers off of a 2006, so can I upgrade my front brakes to the drilled and slotted brakes meant for 17 inch wheels like the ones the 2006 2500's came with? If so, you guys know of a good place to get some?

Thanks,

Me

You won't be able to get bigger rotors on without major modification and imho drilled rotors are a bad idea for our trucks, drilling leads to stress points and they tend to warp easier. If you want a better rotor go with a slotted cryo tempered rotor. These are the ones that I have on my truck. http://www.buybrakes.com/store/EBC-GD7098 You can also upgrade the rear brake cylinders to the gm 1 ton cylinder, that alone makes a huge difference in braking.

Chevy/GM 1 ton pickup cylinders, NAPA part # 37337 - they're a larger bore than the Dodge cylinders and give you move braking power on the rears...

it's on my list of things to do, as well. It's a simple R&R, as I understand it.

coming soon: fuel plate, AFC mod, 3K GSK; coming someday: exhaust, turbo (somebody say "evil twins"?)

Last one of these I did was on my daughters' truck in my driveway without air tools. Total time start to finish was about one hour. You would not believe the difference.......

you could also get dual piston calipers from a 2001 or 2002 1 ton
