OK does anyone know if the upgrade will work for a 2000 3500 or will it effect the ABS.

I think your rear brakes would lock up a little faster but then the abs would reduce pressure until wheel speed catches up, just like it would with the dodge cylinders. Just my $.02

It is a direct swap just go to NAPA and get the P/N listed in one of the post. Take the old ones off and put the new ones on, bleed brakes and your on your way. I did it about three years ago and am very happy with it.

i just got thru upgrading to new bigger size (1 3/16) on my 97 3500 and did it make a difference. I went to O'Reilly and just ask for the wheel cylinder kits for a chevy 3500 and they worked. The standerd on the dodge is 1 1/16 wheel cylinder. This is a great upgrade my friend went and bought sets for him and his son's truck.

Gunslinger it'll work on yours to, I did it on my '01. When you put the 2 wheel cylinders next to each other it is night and day. You'll think "how do they get away with putting those WIMPY things on this Dodge !"

I have gotten the wrong drivers side flex brake hose so didn't want to chance getting the wrong wheel cylinder (1 is leaking). Chain stores couldn't use a NAPA part number. Counter jockey needed a year to pull a part.

Per NAPA the wheel cylinder fits 74-96 Chevy/GMC 1 ton & some 3/4 ton trucks. It looks like the axel is the determining factor.

Never AGR again. 2 dumped fluid & lost brakes & steering, 4th is too loose. AGR = pp quality control & long wait for replacement (doing something different. Will update with what works), DSS Steering Brace, AirDog 100 = 13# solid, Rusty Doors (POR15 at the bottom for now covered with color match Rustoleum)
