Default Amsoil DEO 5w-40

Just changed oil and filter over the weekend, went with Amsoil DEO 5w-40 and high efficiency oil filter EaO-98. Fuel mileage already showing a increase, will have a solid avg by end of week. Rear Diff will be next with Severe Gear SVT 75w-110. Dual remote Bypass in Spring.

After a week of driving back and forth from work 17 miles one way, not much highway driving. I averaged .9 to 1.2 mpg increase.

Soon I will get my UOA report and will post on how Ams 5w40 DEO did comparedt to 5w30 HDD I had used for the past 40K. I was surprised that it was run for 10263 miles over 16 month time period. I normally changed my oil after 12 months but some how screwed up and ran it for 16 months & 15 days.

I would like to see the report, I had great results with the HDD 5w-30 when I ran it in my 2002 and went a very long (years) on the oil. I'm putting the DEO 5w-40 to the test also in my new Ford PSD and do a oil analysis when it's time. I will be switching over to a dual remote oil bypass kit in Spring.

Even with a lower additives with the CJ-4 oils (DEO, DME) they still have the same 3x the OEM drain interval as the Amsoil CI-4+ oils and do hold up well.

Well my UOA report it came today an was surprised to read comments saying "Flagged additive levels are different than what should be present for the lubricant that is identified for this unit. Also data was rechecked and confirmed. " Will post numbers shortly.

Your phosphorus and zinc will be somewhat lower levels due to the DEO 5w-40 is a low ash oil CJ-4 grade oil vs HDD. Take a look at (ccmckee) here same section running the DEO 5w-40 he has posed his oil analysis for his last 4 .
