Edgecumbe sells parts for aircraft engines, good bunch of guys, phone number is 800 621 1319 and ask for a Lycoming Direct Drive O/H manual, a parts catalog will give the p#'s to install a spin on filter from Lycoming and let you buy the Champion filter for your engine (be setting down when you ask for prices) and do not use cork gaskets on your engine except for the rocker box covers (valve covers), Lycoming uses 2 styles of filters and main difference is length. Bigger is better, keep RPM's low until oil warms to avoid crushing filter media on the inside of the filter housing. Use Dow Corning DC 4 on the oil filter gasket it is a silicone base grease and is good stuff (I use in on the cars & truck filter gasket also).
