The turbo is about 3 years old. I just put a new air filter on it. Have a storm coming in then I will need to get over monarch pass.

May have a boost leak somewhere too. Before you take odd real quick check all the fittings on the boost side.

That 72mm turbine is a pretty heavy thing to spin up.
My 65mm turbine is a little slow with my goodies. The hybrid w/60mm turbine spins up really quick w/100's.

If the problem cropped up all of a sudden and all other parameters are normal I might suspect an indication issue. Do you have a known good thermocouple to swap with what is in the truck?

This turbo has ran alittle hot sense i put it on but this is the frist time I've tried to pull a trailer this heavy. I will look at the boost boots but i don't hear any leaks.
Decided to try to avoid any more passes and camp somewhere else. It's hard to work on my truck when I'm 700 miles from home and have limited tools, but I think I can get it back home, will just have to take it alittle easier on it. I got lucky and got the fire put out fast so it didn't burn up too much.

You should be able to run 100-1200 all day long. Where is you EGT probe located? What was your water temp? I had that same turbo on my old 91.5 and never had a problem towing, even heavy.

Finally have cell service.
Where was the fire?
It looked to have started at the turbo. Caught the firewall insulation on fire then burnt the clutch line into. It was burning from the turbo area to the other side of the engine, from the top of the firewall to the transmission.
Where is my probe?
In the exhaust manifold
What was my water temp?
Was holding 180 and on long pulls 200.
Am i in Colorado?
I was for a vacation but now I'm back in Tulsa.
For example of how I'm running empty I got some numbers.
Today it was 95 out i ran 80 mph for 5 hours engine tamp stayed at 180 was running around 2400 rpm egt was 750-850 on purity flat roads. I ran 60 mph for 4 hours engine temp stayed at 180 was running 2000 rpm egt was 600-650. But with the trailer on running 60 mph my egt was 1100 to 1200.
