Default Whats wrong with her

First off, its been a long time since I have been on here. Life keeps us busy sometimes, anyway...

my 05, 5.9 cummins has been a real pain this last year.

P 2149 Injector bank 2 lo/hi voltage
Truck went into limp mode and I was not able to clear the code. Checked the usual stuff, broken wires, corrosion, loose connections, etc. Took everything apart, cleaned and put back together. Thought what the heck, new batteries too, check injectors for proper function and all appears good. Borrowed a Snap On computer diagnostic reader and was able to clear codes but as soon as I crank the engine the code returns. The truck will fire but runs like crap. As a last resort, I have pulled the computer and had it sent off for trouble shooting and repair. Truck now has 205K miles.

While working on the truck I replaced the Map sensor as I know these can cause all sorts of problems. The plug in has a broken tab so I bought a new pigtail with 4 wires about 8 inches long. Can I solder the new pigtail into the existing wires without messing up the 5 volts going to the sensor?

Looking for input from the experts here.

Did I miss anything, is my computer the problem?
