Default Transmission

Hey guys it's been awhile, I've got about 5,000 on a fresh rebuild on my engine I guess my transmission felt left out because it's giving me problems now, hopefully its a simple solution.

Driving the other day the transmission stopped shifting right I lost lockup completely and overdrive couldn't be locked out, after stopping I checked and cleaned the electrical connections, it started shifting normal but still couldn't lock out overdrive and the torque converter wouldn't lock up.

Now 3 days later the torque converter locks up in 2nd and stays locked it will shift quickly into 3rd and then OD and will not downshift even manually unless its all the way to 1st.

I'm hoping it's just a solenoid I have a new set coming, although it's probably grounding out somewhere or debris stuck in th valve body, I'm hoping I'm missing something obvious.

Suggestions are welcome.
Thanks, Corey

I'd start with a flush, fluid, and filter change. You could replace the solenoids, but you would have to splice the connector wires. Otherwise your taking more stuff apart. Electrical is problematic, could be anything.

Still not sure what the problem is I have all new solenoids to put on but I guess took too long to take care of it, the front band didn't like the torque converter locking up while it shifted into 2nd, it came out in 2 pieces now I have to drop the transmission.
