Default Adding limited slip diff lube to...

LSD additive to 5w-30 NV5600 lube?
I've read of some folks adding it.
I'm guessing maybe to build a little viscosity

I don't know the physics behind it but if you fail to add the additive, soon afterward you will start to hear gear chatter and then the teeth will start to eat themselves.

A great replacement fluid is the Amsoil (MTF) 5w-30 Manual Synchromesh Transmission Fluid.

I'm an idiot. I was thinking of the differential gears not a transmission.

Additive is recommended for (clutch type) diffs to reduce clutch chatter.

If we are talking DIFFS then , Ford makes probably the best diff additive. Now for the bad if you ever buy the stuff from Ford make sure you wear clothes and gloves your willing to throw away, because if you don't the wife will divorce you.

Stuff stinks worst than a skunk and lingers forever.

AMSOIL Slip-Lock additive.

Formulated for use with both synthetic and petroleum gear lubricants and safely replaces manufacturer-recommended friction modifiers, and a heck lot cheaper.
