The EaA-189 for the 3rd Gen Dodge Cummins was Discontinued to do low sale volume. At this time only the 4" pleat available is in the Wix from Amsoil.

I will ask and find out if anything is in the works and post back.

My second EaA-189 had the gasket separate from the filter material. My only mod at the time was an additional 4" hole cut into the bottom of the air box.

Aug 2010 is when I started running the new deep pleat filter. I got it from the dealer. Aug 2011 I changed it again with the NAPA filter. I really think the Mopar filter is a rebadged WIX. I compared the wo when changing them All of the physical attributes I.E. color and looks were identical. Even the filter specs where in the same spot and the font/font size were the same.

I agree. When I had my truck, same thing. They put a Wix in it.

I've tried both Wix and Napa air filters and found them to not fit the stock air box very well by not letting the the top to not seal shut, the Mopar 4 inch filter I got from the dealer fits & allows the top to seal down all they way.

It would of nice if it would have fit as they are cheaper then the one I had to buy from Dodge. BTW even the Dodge filter nylon edge is almost too thick for the air box top to seal properly, I guess I was spoiled with the Fleetguard fitters I used that fit nicely in the box and without the problem of the top nylon being to thick.
