Default ABS and Brake light came on

Had to bump the brakes hard on the way to town. After that, the ABS and Brake lights came on. Brakes continued to work normally, but no ABS function. Checked for codes, but there were none. On the way home the lights went out. I don't think the ABS is working though. Not worried about driving that way. Anything I should or have someone check? Bad timing with all the other crap going on in my life.

Repeated again yesterday. Probable cause, COLD. When it came on it was below zero. When it went off, it was above zero. Annoying!

It could be about anything. Vacuum leak or pump with low output. More often than not when both come on it Vacuum related.

Thanks Max, something to check. I didn't know vacuum had a part of the hydroboost system, just climate control on a 24 valve.

My 91 had recurring issues with the proportioning valve; could never get that damn light to shut off no matter what I did.

One of these centuries I'll get around to removing the ABS hydro valve on the 92 and rebuild it.

Cold verified. Now that it has warmed up, I'm not having any problem with it.

Leads me to wonder if just a few drops of water in the DOT 3 is the culprit.
Stranger things have been known to happen.

No, too cold to do anything. Once spring hits and it dries out, I plan to replace the rear shocks, brake pads, and clean the VSS connector on the axle. I'll do a flush then.

Wouldn't surprise me considering how things have been going lately.
