Default Ready to start light

Hi, guys I can't remember the exact name of the light but you all know what I'm talking about...how long should it take to go out? It has been in the upper 40's lower 50's around where I live and my light stays on for an average of 9 seconds before it goes out. Is this normal? Every once in a while it goes out almost immeditely.

It could take even longer the colder it gets. It's normal.

Here in North Florida (40-50) 2-4 seconds. Of course, colder it takes longer.

40's - 50's I don't even wait for it to go out. I just wait a couple of seconds and fire it off. The grid heater is going to cycle after it starts anyhow.

It's about 25-30 degrees in the morning when I start mine. I think the light stays on for about 7-9 seconds....only in the morning on the fist start of the day. The rest of the day it's on for a second maybe two.

I've never timed mine, but probably 5-10 seconds at around 30*, could be 15 seconds at below 20*.
BTW it's "Wait To Start".

on the Cummins..I call it the infinity symbol light. Whatever it takes to keep my wife from just ripping it! I guess it dos'nt hurt it if you don't wait occasionaly. She did it to my stroke every time. I'm sure the guys at the tire store or anywhere else you have work done don't wait...(the morons)
