Put a new Spectra radiator in mine due to split tank over ten years ago. Not a single problem since. (with the radiator, anyway!)

$210 including 10% TN sales tax but I didn't have to screw around and it's good for as long as I own this truck. Sometimes you buy repair parts, screw around then it doesn't work. I'm at the point of throwing money if it will be fixed the 1st time.

Never AGR again. 2 dumped fluid & lost brakes & steering, 4th is too loose. AGR = pp quality control & long wait for replacement (doing something different. Will update with what works), DSS Steering Brace, AirDog 100 = 13# solid, Rusty Doors (POR15 at the bottom for now covered with color match Rustoleum)

Yeah...
Like I said, the local, lifetime warranty does have value.

Well, since hauling was rained out yesterday I broke down & went by O'Reilly & talked to the commercial sales guy who gave me a pretty good deal on a new spectra radiator with local lifetime warranty.

Now I've changed Plenty of radiators before, plenty. My dad had a radiator repair shop when I was a kid...
But unless theres a secret combination in the service manual, Chrysler oughta have their hiney kicked for all the cr@p they wedged around this one!

Hmm...
New radiator & 180 thermostat and truck runs 200, even when it's 34 or idling..

So now the heater works good? My 92 Bravada has been running 200F since 1992.
Cornbread Red has run 190F since I bought it in 2004.

Lol..
Well, heater always worked good...
Always ran just a tick above 200, which I realize is normal for these engines.
However, loaded, pulling in the deep South heat I have looked down to see 230+ a few times and that bothers me. If I don't catch it on a hot day with a long pull it'll set the warning light off.
Now if I back out a it a little & let my speed drop it stays cool, but I just figured running 60 & having no issue with pulling the load it should stay cool.

I thought the 180 thermostat would buy me a bigger buffer zone, but it's still 200.
Turning the A/C on (so the fan runs) brings it down nicely to 180 or below.

Air pocket..?
Maybe. I need to pull that fill vent-plug thing I reckon.

Oh, other morning it had the top radiator hose sucked flat when cold..
