Rainy 40's today. Hauled stinky sludge then changed out the manifold to turbo gasket.
The original gasket is divided and the gasket "caterpillar is now recommending" is open.
The power is noticeably lower and boost is way off. I got a gasket from the shop I take Cornbread Red turbos to. It's a divided shim gasket that I'll put on tomorrow if we're not hauling.

Your new employers know you're bargain for your knowledge and abilities.
You didn't think they'd let you get away did you?

Sunny near 50F today.
No drivin' so I installed the new modified T4 shim gasket on the KW.
Boost and power have returned to normal.
Went to Harbor Freight and bought a 4.5" angle grinder for $5...

Yes I did, Went in about a half hour before closing on a Sunday night. Also got the extended maintained agreement free. told then I didn't want red or white and preferred an automatic, knowing that they had no automatics, and red and white were all they had left.

1 , so close.

Met 2 of the other MCs and the DOM.
I guess my resume was too good. I'll have to tone it down.

Stores are still hurting from the quake. Went to the electronic parts store. Besides being rearranged, their shelves where empty. So I'm shopping on line.
