Made some good progress with the excavator, but not exactly what I planned. Some of those stumps were more than the excavator could handle. So, my Connex is going in a different location. Going to level out the spot and get the rail road ties set in today. Taking the stumps and big rocks and tossing them into this big hole next to the house. No one can quite figure out why they put a big hole there.
Sinkhole...RUN RUN AWAY NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's even stranger is the concrete slab under the house. Just about the right size for a grave. Maybe that hole was for the next one.
Dug up more stumps I found buried in the spot I was clearing for the Connex. Had another big hole at the back of the pad I pushed stumps an excess dirt into.
Heading out to go play some more in the dirt. Haven't had this much fun sense I had my Tonka toys.

Good Morning dieselram..
72 now, 90 or so later.

Happy Labor Day America.
"Let me thank you for your time"

Kept one eye on the smoker & grill yesterday while doing a little tractor repair, yard work, & hanging the back yard hammock
Today, bushoging, trim trees, burn some brush, and eat lots of Smokey meat!

Wouldn't mind taking the scooter for a cruise... we'll see.

I've rented a kubota mini excavator a few times this year for our new land in the adirondacks, place I found rents it for $200 for 8 hours of use, not by the day, so I can pick it up on a friday and bring it back monday or tuesday and only get charged $200. Definitely fun playing around. I still want a compact tractor with a loader and backhoe though.

Sunny 90's today.
Removed the old tail lights & mounts and welded in new tail light mounts and a bar to protect the new lights. Turned out pretty clean, until the 1st trip to the rock yard.
Had a cookout later for the young'uns and potential daughter in law.

Oh yeah, excavators are neat. I don't know what to think about the joysticks on new dozers though.

Good morning DR, back to the salt mines today, just getting paid instead of the freebie yesterday. Sixty six degrees now and 90* is best guess for later.....partly cloudy too. Can't wait to see what shenanigans are afoot in KnoxVegas in the next few weeks....keep you posted.

GOODMORNINGDIESELRAM...Sunny today here on my flat piece of property. cougar, maybe your property is an old Indian burial ground, or perhaps the concrete slab is where someone closed up the gates of hell.

Good Morning DieselRam !!
Another 72->90ish day.
Sunny for now, but should see clouds and breezes from the wanna be hurricane by afternoon.
The local weather says .5" or less rain from the storm for us, but I suspect more. We'll see.
5.0" plus on the coast is the rumor...
24 at the rock today and we'll see about tomorrow.
My pickup list is down to 2 & with the threat of rain....
One more stir of the new garden spot and onions and garlic are planted.
I'll add some greens soon as the ground is wet.
