An M2 has an arched (convex) ramp. I just used a dremel tool cut off wheel in a drill press to remove the arch until it was straight and then polished it smooth. I held the pin in an XY table so the cut would be perfectly straight.

Went to work to collect my paycheck, change the oil, lube the joints, and put the snow tires on. Could have done more but work was pestering me again.

I love my 1st gen, especially in the winter. It is a whole lot more stable on slick roads than the 01. Even loaded down with sand bags, it squirms all over the road. My 92 just takes the ice in stride and stays on a straight path. The only major difference I can see between the 2 is that the 01 has limited slip and the 92 does not.

I use my '91 the most in the winter although the '12 does very well in the snow

Mine have never left the barn in winter. They rust when you look at them up here due to the salt so I've started parking them. Especially the 93, it's never been in salt so I see no reason to start now.
