Default Exhaust system service required message

This message showed up on my dash this morning, telling me to contact dealer now.
This is on my 2012 2500 which has just under 90k miles on it.
Any common issues to start with?

Are there any codes? The check engine light might not be on but there is likely something stored in the ECM. Let us know what it is and we can get you pointed in a direction.

So I took my truck to a local mechanic, not a diesel shop, to have it coded and he told me the exhaust system needs to be cleaned and I have a bad O2 sensor. He didn't give me the codes.
I took it to the dealer, they told me the bad O2 sensor probably tripped that message. So they replaced both sensors and we'll see what happens. They also told me I need ball joints.

Get on the freeway and drive around 70mph for around 30 miles and it will clean out. that's what I had to do.
