Default No Crank

OK You guys were absolutely no help on my last post but, I will try it again. This is on my 09 Mega Cab with the 6.7 Cummins Auto Trans.

My cluster took a dump. Power spike is what it looks like. The PRND2 display is gone, my tach is not working, the Water temp is not working and the oil pressure is not working.

Engine will not turn over using the key to start method. They only way to start the truck is by jumping it straight to the starter (I unhook the grey plug on the firewall by drivers side battery) and start it there. When it starts, it will run but, the truck is not drivable except in reverse.

I just replace the computer.

I just had the TIPM rebuilt.

I pulled the cluster and there are definitely bad areas on the circuit board and at different components on the board.

So, My question to you is; Will the cluster cause the truck to not start? And if jumped, Will it cause the truck to be not drivable?

TIPM is the Totally Integrated Powertrain Module or the Fuse Box. You know, that thing that Dodge totally Fudged up!

Power Spike, as in when I first plugged in the rebuilt TIPM and started the truck per their instructions, everything ran fine for ten minutes then the truck started throwing all kinds of idiot lights at me, gauges started failing, my PRND2 went dark and the truck quit running. after trouble shooting it I found numerous hot wires to accessories melted, the truck would not start with the key any longer (only by jumpstarting) I no longer could communicate via scan tool with the computer, and after pulling cluster out and taking it apart I found multiple tracings on the circuit board fried.

TIPM has been sent back and gone thru and certified good to go and today I received my new computer and cluster.

Looks like I fried this cluster too. It worked for one cycle of the key and I still have a no start issue.

Im either overlooking something simple or I just plain don't understand these trucks and how they work. My brain is fried and there are no mechanics anywhere near here and It sucks!
