Default FASS Pump Questions

My FASS is a 95GPH and was installed in 2007.

Now
Since it has been 10 years I am curious on the life of the pump motor?
If that goes out I am screwed!

Do you think I should replace the pump motor?

Also
Today I changed filters.
The Ball and Spring.
I did clean the Ball, Spring and the area where it sits from the sludge. I do plan on dropping the tank soon to clean it out.
Do your think the Spring is still good??

I know I have posting a lot of of questions lately.
I do not plan on selling my truck, but making it last.

I do appreciate you time and answers!
Thanks!

If it's not broke don't fix it. If your worried about the pump going out at some point have another one on hand. Who's to say the new one will last. I'm not a mechanic so don't go with my advice, someone with great knowledge will get you an answer.

Get a fuel pressure gauge to monitor your FASS then you will se the decline in filters or the pump installed at the CP3 or VP44 not sure on your 01 you have my vote is VP44 but ?

Agreed about having a back up!

I do monitor the fuel pressure, which you made a great point!

Thanks!
