Default Tire Question

I have a 98 ram 2500 12 valve and need to know if a set of goodyear all terrain
L 1 245/75 R16 will be a ok set of tires for this truck not sure what the L stands for and if they would be a strong enough set of tires for this truck someone told me i needed a 8-10 ply tire I dont know how to tell what ply these tires are

Sure it doesn't say LT or light truck?

An 8 ply will probably be a D rated tire while the 10 ply will E rated. If you tow a lot then the E rated tire is what you want.

Is this an auto trans or standard?

i saw these tires on a online post for sale site i asked about the L or Lt and the person said itjust has a L i dont know what that means

Probably says LT on the tire, but was just hard for him to read.

Worst come to worst go look at them take a picture and load it to the site. If your tech savvy a smartphone does wonders.

These tires new or used?

have abot 75 to 80 percent tread left 200 for a set of 4. 1 new retails for around 170 each

If they are LT tires then they should be a decent deal, but personally I prefer running 265 rather than 245 tires on 16" rims.
