Default No Cabin Heat

Nothing but cold air coming out the vents.
Engine warms up fine to about 180, and seems like it will warm up if I park it for a few minutes,
but when driving it's pure cold air coming out the vents.

Also, in summer the A/C runs and the lines are cold, but no cold air comes into the cab.
I would think that means the blend door is not stuck in the cold position...?

I expect this means I'll be tearing into the dash and the air control box,
but just wondered where to start, anything I could do before that...

Does a 95 have a blend door?
If so, it must be laying in the bottom of the box, or just stuck half way.
But even at halfway I would expect some heat, It's straight cold outside air blowing on my feet when driving.
I think it blows on my feet no matter where the control is set too.
Seems I can turn the defrost on and off, but always comes out the floor.

Like there's a big hole in the firewall letting air in...

Any advice appreciated.

Interesting.
Good to know.
Thanks MAX.

Cable moves fine,
so I felt the heater hoses under the hood,
1 warm, 1 not, not at all!
Disconnected hoses, 1 had coolant in it, 1 didn't.
Flushed heater core & got all kinds of white looking crud outa it
so I poured a cup if vinegar in it, waited 15 min & flushed again,
LOTS of white crud.

Heat works fine now.

Guess we'll see.
At least I got heat.
I can always bypass the heater core & be right back where I was.

Cant guess at the date and time, but it will be in the middle of an intersection during rush hour, or in the middle of a bridge, or climbing up a hill.

Nice to have heat in the cold weather.
If the heater core let's go, it's not a bad job to change it out anymore.

I believe my recirculation door is screwed up. Interposer on my blend door is good, can hear blend door closing in both directions and watch motor shaft turn. Calibrated the blend door actuator. Still blows mostly cold air in truck. Both heater hoses are hot. Anyone ever had to fix recirculation door? What good is it? What to do to fix it? It gets colder with vehicle speed. Cant find any open holes in cab where air would enter. It gets pretty COLD in there going 65mph.
