Good,,, FANTASTIC news!!!! It lives!!!!! The transmission guy just called saying he did the test drive and was very impressed with the old gal, the transmission worked too. He wanted to test the OD and lock up next, then I could come and get it. Tomorrow I start wiring up the Compushift and switches.

Hooray, my 92 is back in my driveway. Today I take it to the hangar (my shop) and start the wiring. Went for a test drive with the transmission guy manually switching OD and LU in and out. I had no idea that truck had that much power, all previously lost through the torque converter. No wonder he was tickled to drive it and he has a 600hp Duramax. The build turned out to be a pain because it was a V10 in sad shape. It has parts from the V10 47RH, a diesel 47RH, and some parts from a 48RE. He didn't charge me for the good used parts he put in because he had so many laying around, and he likes me.

Wouldn't you know it. Down to just a few more wire and the speed sensor wiring harness extension Compushift sent me has one wrong end on it.

Down to one stinking wiring harness and now I'm being evicted from my work space. With an aircraft coming in this weekend for annual, there will be no room for "toys".
