Our prices have not dropped much at all on diesel, we are still paying $1.23/ltr or about $4.35 / gal. Our gas prices have dropped big time to $0.95/ltr or about $3.35/gal.

finally seeing some drop in diesel prices here at some stations. $3.29 to $3.61 USD/US Gallons in Denver metro area.

On a similar note, 100LL av gas is coming down, too. A few months ago, it was over $6/gal and Sunday I paid $4.96/gal locally, and saw $4.01 at an airport in Oklahoma.

Most areas are showing prices dropping. On the news they say this is the trend and can be this way for maybe 2 years.

Now what's going to happen when they put the screws to us again after that time frame, AND they saying they want to increase the fuel tax ?

After all, the only excuse I heard them said was they haven't increase it in about 25 years and are well over due ? Is this a just reason ? No money for infrastructure repairs, yet this uncountless billions collected today goes for everything else and very little to roads and bridges ?

maybe it's already been said in this thread, but since I have friends in oil and gas industry, they're saying the reason for the price drops is OPEC increasing supply on the market in the attempt to deliberately drive down the price, in order to make exploration and production in North America not cost effective. Once they shut down our new production efforts, they'll drive the prices back up again.

On the news it said they have all thier production facilities paid for and can drop the crude prices as low as $50 bbl, and they will barely make a profit. BUT this is low enough to stop the US from pushing the XL pipeline line and fracking process from expanding. Cost is higher for us since we are in the construction and expansion phase. Thus stopping the U.S. and Canada from future crude expansion and major influence in the market.

So their reason for lower prices now is to guarantee their future higher income.
Sort of plays with this administration desires ?

Happen to find this for those that are going to travel the highways.
They give present prices, and you can select highways like I-40 and such to see that you might plan for.
Hope it helps.

Our outgoing governor gave the oil companies a huge tax break to coax them into opening up new oil fields here in Alaska. What we got instead is getting stonewalled by Obama's EPA, the oil companies no longer interest in opening new fields due to the low price of crude, and our state income falling out the bottom because too much of it was based on oil revenues instead of developing other industries within the state.

We are in the same boat here in Alberta Cougar. Our diesel is finally dropping a bit, down to $1.15/ltr $4.07/gal.
