Default Brake Pads ?

Need to know what is the recommended brake pads for RAM-3500 SRW. Need front and rear.

So, if anyone can provide information on brand name and part number would be greatly apperciated.

AdvancedAuto got Wagner and Wearver brands. I can get 10 percent discount from them.

Best to go with the stock ones , Carquest Golds or Porterfields. Porterfields are IMO by far the best , great pad wear without sacrificing rotor wear.

Thanks for the info Max.

Is there any difference between the rear pads of SRW, and DRW?

No but if you buy anything over the counter at the parts stores normally you will be asked what compound you would like . Most aftermarket places will sell 3 .

Low grade.... increased pad wear NO rotor wear

Medium ..... Both pad and rotor wear

Hard ...... increased rotor wear longer pad life.

The Porterfields and Carquest Golds fall into the catagory of medium.

X3 I had rather change the pads a little more often than have to change pads and rotors. To me using the low or mid grade pads makes more money sense in the long run.
