GOODMORNINGDIESELRAM.....Looks like we will be getting the new roof. The contractor we went with did the house across the street. He knows all the ins and outs of the insurance industry. Wednesday he inspected the roof and found damage I didn't even know about, he met with insurance adjuster Thursday morning, Thursday afternoon the insurance company cut the first check, and by evening the roofing material was on the roof. The dumpster will be delivered Monday morning @6:30am and at 7am the crew will be here to replace the roof.

After it's done we will tear down the old metal shed, and YES finish the painting of the house. Wife is going to be busy, as Friday I go in and have something cut from my side so I can't lift for 2 weeks (or maybe months)

They are saying hot and sunny, but it's cold and rainy. Go figure. Out at the house fixin stuff. Redoing and undoing some mystery wiring. Getting hook ups in for the new washer and dryer arriving this Wednesday. Taking out the dish washer and moving the cabinets to put back in a wall that was removed.

I'm not much of CAT guy, but I believe your right. We have a few Oshkosh H series running around here with C13 drive engines and C18 blower engines. The C18's have a interesting twin turbo setup, they have the front three cylinders plumbed into one turbo, and the rear three into another. The turbo exhaust outlets point toward each other and the exhaust syste, attaches to a big water main type connection from between them. I wanna say they are rated at 750HP. Alotta power for just blowing snow

Started out cloudy with a few sprinkles of rain in Spring Hill where I was hauling asphalt. When I got back to Nashvegas ( or Knoxvegas West), the sun came out and I hauled some dirt to Springfield/Nashvegas North. The dump truck engine wouldn't turn over after shutting it off so I cleaned all the battery connections and it turns over and fires up. One positive post is showing acid...will get to change it out soon.

Good Morning DieselRam.....

71 to start, 90ish later. 4-H weather. Maybe a thundershower, maybe not.
Had a couple of them yesterday and day before, but ground was crusted over by evening.

Guy came to look at my 85' 650 Nighthawk yesterday.
We had an agreement, $650 if it would start. It did, then he started trying to renegotiate.
I told him I had 5 others waiting to see if he bought it or not, so there!

Replaced the flex duct under the house with hard pipe so the dog can't crush it.

Repaired the drive shaft in the bushhog and cut for an hour.
Tractor is coming up next, unless I trade/sell the decrepit old thing.
6206 Deutz, 4x4, unknown hours.
PTO shaft wobbly (bearings) and the case has been welded on.
Leaks oil, all kinds.
Pinion bearing wobbly in front axel.
Have to tighten bolts in the rear 'axel' castings about once a year.
Almost no brakes, even after adjusting.
Sometimes you just get tired of always working on stuff..
