Why do they do that? A solenoid for the trigger wire to the solenoid?

It keeps the high amperage runs out of the cab/key switch....in aircraft a side benefit is it helps save weight. Avoid troubleshooting with a DVOM when possible. Use a test light of appropriate voltage rating as this works the circuit. MAC TOOLS markets a test light just for computer circuits and it uses diodes under P# ET28830

Sunny 30F today and no dumptruckin'.
Went to the dentist for a cleaning, got fuel & B20, got 1460# gravel for son's driveway & filled a hole with it, bought and cooked liver w/gravy & onions. I may look a 007 movie tonight if I get through in time.

Good morning DR, a balmy 24 degrees and clear....YayDay….Mexican joint for lunch and gonna try to get my buds bike back from the Harvey mech here local. Big bill, lots of work including tire, tube rear wheel and neck bearings. I think its been a victim of benign neglect.

Sunny 40's today. Hauled rock in another truck, the KW's tag axle controls froze again. Going to put air line antifreeze in it tomorrow.
