I put my hand on the exhaust ports before starting the engine when I first started plugging in. They were warm so I think the engine heater is working. When I unplug the extension cord in the dark, I see a small electrical flash now. After running a minute, I can feel warm air out the vents too. I have the block heater come on for 3 hours before leaving for work.
