Hi Folks! Let's bring you all up to speed. Awhile back the Webmaster and I discussed to potential of migrating this website to better software. Among other things, UBB has just not been offering the features we've been seeking. RW made the call recently to upgrade to "VBulletin", which is another type of forum software. For the average user, the impact won't be too noticable. There are some changes in the personal settings and user interfaces of course, but it is very similar to what we're using now. Most of the advantages deal with the site's administration, which has always been awkward. VBulletin has a big user base, which should help when we want to add new features.

What it all boils down to is this:

1) Expect some temporary outages over the next month or so

2) We will try and give more notice when they are scheduled to happen so as not to inconvenience you folks too much

3) While Dieselram has outstanding content, we've always felt that our web presense left a little to be desired. There will be a total overhaul of DieselRam's image. The one we did last year was OK, but we're aiming for something much more professional in appearance. Thw 1st prototype was shown to us recently, and well...it was sweet!

4) Sorry, no sneak peeks yet :)

Remember: This site is only as good as it's members...and in that respect we're pretty damm good :)
