Sorry for the bad photo quality it was taken with my cell phone, but you get the idea. I'll try and snap a couple more when it quits snowing.

I had hit a deer last fall, all it did was mess up the original bumper, so we had this one made at the local welding shop.

The rocker panels are just starting to rust a bit, so what I'm thinking of doing is, getting the replacement panels from LMC, and stripping down the lower part of the door and cab, then just paint it with rhinolining or something similar.

Nothing like a goog piece of steel in the front of a truck. Looks good.

I was going to give into Ranchhand and buy one. I've got tons of deer around here. If I hit one I want to make sure I can eat it.

Yeah there are tons of deer around here too. I'm not in the least bit worried now. Those Ranchhand ones are pretty expensive aren't they? I think mine total cost just under 500 bucks.

Nice that will work. Won't have to worry about deer any more. I hit a deer at 55mph w/ my ranch hand bumper, and it didn't hurt the bumper or truck at all. Deer wasn't so lucky. It gutted him on impact. Then he went under the tires on the driver side, and under the tires on a tandem axle trailer I was pulling. Does that bumper have something to protect the grill? I can't tell from the pic.

Yeah they are a little pricey, but steel is up, they are really nice bumpers. My friend has one, I was sold on it when I saw it. I'd rather pay a little more for a bumper than ruin more of the truck or hurt myself. Also I do not have the ability to fab one up.

Yes it does have a grill guard. It the two up right are like 3/8 inch thick C channel, then it has an upper and lower square tube running horizontal parallel to each other. Then the diamond tread plate in between the two tubes.

Hey Mattof you want to build another one I'll buy. I have just one request-
(And before I offend anyone please know I would not really do this)
I would like 3 or 4 2" receiver tubes recessed into the bumper and then take 2" square stock about 3 feet long and sharpen it to a point. I can easily install these when the deer are active and take them out when there not. Then when I hit a deer It would just hang on the front of my truck till I get home. It would be great you would never have to even get out of the truck.

Already putting it to use on ricers. Scared the piss out of two kids in a saturn wagon with a fart can muffler on it. Followed them around for about half an hour trailing as close as I could.

just for gits and shiggles, put some rubber "pushpads" on it, in case somebody needs to be moved off the road, or assisted up to the gas pump

Take a zawsall and cut the tread off tractor tire. Bolt it on horiz. across. Might have 2 sets on that big bumper!
