That's one sweet toy hauler. My daughter had a '66 Mustang in mint condition. A week after she picked it up it was center punched by a caddy. Your's is looking good, can't wait to see it done.

Thanks BRD, we really enjoyed the toyhauler the whole 2 trips we were able to take with it before winter set in. Looking forward to spring already for sure.

That sucks about your daughters '66. I had mine at my father in laws garage through paint (including the pics above), brought it home over two months ago in the condition as pictured and haven't had time to touch it since. I hope to have it done by spring.

I might have to see about aquiring Max's services to give it a once over Mechanically before all is said and done.

I have the 18k Supglide by Pullrite and am very happy with it. Only negative at all it that it is heavy (appx 320lbs) and a pain for one person to get in and out of the bed withouth a shop crane. As wide as my 5er is (102"), a manual slider would not have provided enough "slide" for clearance. Most manual sliders only offer about 9 inches of slide, I need every bit of the 13 inches that the 18k superglide provides.

That's a great solution Greg. Was that fabricated or is there a kit available commercially?

a friend of mine fab'ed up a few different prototypes, then bought out a patent on this particular model in the picture along with a dozen or so samples. I don't know for sure if he has any more, or any plans to produce more of them. I think product liability issues might have scared him a bit.

I've seen a few similar setups for sale commercially, including one that folds down into an extended rear bumper.

Nice Ride. Enjoy it. All mine go back to bed in 3 weeks. Hopefully I will get time to work on the 68 dart this winter.
