Hi Folks!
Let's bring you all up to speed.
Awhile back the Webmaster and I discussed to potential of migrating this website to better software. Among other things, UBB has just not been offering the features we've been seeking. RW made the call recently to upgrade to "VBulletin", which is another type of forum software.
For the average user, the impact won't be too noticable. There are some changes in the personal settings and user interfaces of course, but it is very similar to what we're using now. Most of the advantages deal with the site's administration, which has always been awkward. VBulletin has a big user base, which should help when we want to add new features.
What it all boils down to is this:
1) Expect some temporary outages over the next month or so
2) We will try and give more notice when they are scheduled to happen so as not to inconvenience you folks too much
3) While Dieselram has outstanding content, we've always felt that our web presense left a little to be desired. There will be a total overhaul of DieselRam's image. The one we did last year was OK, but we're aiming for something much more professional in appearance. Thw 1st prototype was shown to us recently, and well...it was sweet!
4) Sorry, no sneak peeks yet 
Remember: This site is only as good as it's members...and in that respect we're pretty damm good

People if you are receiving emails titled DOMAIN NOT RENEWED by Network Solutions ignore this as the Domain is now hosted by LunarPages . Network Solutions was the old server .

Recently I have noticed some growing concern about advertising . To eliminate any issues I have created SUB forums for the vendors to advertise their products. Please No discussion of product pricing please.
Each Vendor has their own specific sub forum to advertise, please use these in good faith.
I will migrate old vendors threads as time allows.

Good day DieselRam members,
We have received quite a few Pm's regarding Religion and Politics. While I feel that these sort of debates have there merits it really has NO place here at DieselRam . Our numbers have been on the decline lately and in my eyes this has something to do with it. This forum is designed to have free technical discussion and the occasional I had a bad day rant. The Other Topics section has just been over loaded with right click copy and paste URLs with no personal touch to the thread.
After much deliberation, Dieselram's staff has decided to not permit topics to be posted that are of a religious or political nature in the "Other Forum". It's just gone too far, folks.
Please do not confuse this with Freedom Of Speech , if you want to say something to this effect then start a blog someplace other than here .
Affected members that violate this will get one warning ,from there I will use the appropriate actions available on DieselRam.
Thanks for your understanding in this matter.

Yes it is that time again to be thinking about the next get together. After alot of nail chewing Von Trapp and myself have come up with dates for next year.
Dates, July 10 thru 13 of 2008
Place ,Indiana
Events, Tours of the Cummins Plant if we get enough members and
SouthBend Clutch.
Would also like to do a dyno event this is DBT.
The rest of the intinerary will be worked out over the next few months. We will be trying to get places to stay for those that will be coming out both with campers and hotel accomidations.
I'm sure most will have a ton of questions for this and I will try and answer the best way I can.

Well folks, as we've been discussing for months now, we're about to host the first ever annual Nude WoodStock Festival in sunny Golden, Colorado. Ha! Just Kidding. It's DieselRam's first annual Jamboree Meet and Greet! Wow, are we excited! There's folks coming from as far away as Texas, Maryland, and Washington! We've even got two clowns from Alberta Canada working their way south! And if you're wondering, the wife and kids (or husband and kids ) are absolutely welcome!

Highlights
Saturday June 30 0900 is day 1 of the BS festival (I mean workshop) featuring Tim Holt and his Amazing Trapeze Leaping Transmissions! Okay, Tim will be running a morning workshop outlining the workings of auto transmissions and common areas of failure. We're planning to leave the afternoon open for a bomb run somewhere (heh heh). There is a possibility of us running up to Pike's Peak Saturday afternoon; we'll see how this one pans out.
Sunday July 01 0900 is day 2 of our diesel assimilation (resistance is futile). Meet at the shop. We're planning a second bomb run to the Georgetown Loop Railway, and THIS one will be awesome! Our afternoon iteneray has also been left free.
And hey folks...there is NO cover charge for this event! It's an open event for anyone interested in showing up, but we do need to point out that only Dieselram sponsors will be permitted the opportunity to offer products for sale.
