When I bought my new 12V, I knew the fuel gauge was inop. The servcie manager at the Dodge dealer agreed to troubleshoot it for free. He called yesterday and said its the either the circut board or the gauge and recommended changing both while its out to the tune of $550.00. He swears the sending unit is good.

So......can anyone give me troubleshooting tips that I can verify this? I'm tempted to go get a gauge and circut board from a junk yard and install it, but how hard is it to get access to the gauge cluster?

Any ideas/recommendations would be appreciated!

The 4 x 4 light in my instrument cluster stays on. I shifted into 4wd and the light came on like normal, but when I put it back in 2wd the light stayed on. I then shifted back into 4 high and the light went out. The transfer case is operating correctly but the switch for the light seems to be out of adjustment. I haven't crawled under to look yet but I assume the switch is located on the transfer case? If anyone knows please post. I will post again if I find the problem . :-)

There is a guy in my area that claims he can delete the EGR and the DPF with out the using a programer. He claims he has sensor foolers that go in place of the sensors and claims it works great he has done lots of vehicles and claims he has 140K km on his deleted the same way with no codes. His truck is a 07 or 08. I was under the impression it was not possible with out a programer. He said the whole delete with labor cost $600 bucks.

This was a Quote from his email:

"The egr has been removed as well as the crossover pipe and the cooler. The coolant hose just gets connected from the valve cover (top of the head) to where the vent tube is. Otherwise then it would starve the head of coolant and ya it could overheat and warp it. Capping the line is not a good idea at all and some kits do, do that and I would not buy or run one of those kits.
By the 7th injector I was referring to the one you called the 4th......there is 6 injectors for the cylinders so I assumed that one would be the 7th and not the 4th that's all.
Yeah the dpf is gone and just straight pipe there. So how the regen works is that there is 3 pyrometer probes (which is where the foolers go) that measure exhaust temps and that is how the regen is created. So you don't have to "turn off" that injection cycle, by fooling the system to think all the exhaust temps are good then the regen cycle will never happen".

So does anyone know how the MBRP compares to the FTE resonator? I am looking to rip out my stock cat and muffler and install one of these, keeping the rest of the 3"stock exhaust system. My truck is completely stock so see no need in increases to 4" or larger.

Have heard great things about the FTE but they dont make a 3" version so wondering how the MBRB compares. I want to eliminate the drone, but keep/amplify the turbo whistle. Or would I be ahead just getting a high performance 3" muffler?
